Confirmed: Trump Organization did negotiate with a sanctioned Russian bank in 2016

Show me the law that says it's a crime to talk to a sanctioned entity. Time to put up or shut up.

.

The same one that says it's a crime to do business with a sanctioned entity. It's called "attempted [fill in the blank]"

We make it as much a crime to try to commit a crime, as it is to succeed at committing the crime. Police would rather catch somebody and charge them with "attempted murder" than wait to see if they can get him on something more serious.

Think about it.

Post the sanction law, otherwise you talking from your backside.

.

In the end no business was conducted, nothing of value changed hands.

The equivalent of robbing a bank.....but the safe was empty.....therefore the robbers should be judged "innocent."???

A bit lazy there Tigger.......Go back to post #36......but, since your half brain hasn't kicked in yet, here is is AGAIN

What penalties can be imposed on entities that breach sanctions?

US Penalties for violating US sanctions vary widely and are dependent upon a number of factors. Penalties range from issuance of a “cautionary letter” to transaction-based civil penalties, and, if the violation is willful, to referral to the US Department of Justice for criminal prosecution with the prospect of a $1 million fine and up to 20 years imprisonment.

They couldn't be charged with robbery if they didn't take anything, trespassing and other charges could possibly be pressed.

According to you idiots, going into a bank and having a casual conversation to discuss accounts they offer could be illegal.

Once again, stop presenting fantasies and produce the law that shows what was done was improper.

Was that bank where one had that "casual conversation" and where" a letter of intent" included that bank UNDER SANCTIONS???......................Yes or No???.........................lol

Those Dems are becoming the laughing stock to the world.
Becoming?
  • Ok you're right. "Are".

You and your fellow moron should read a bit more and watch Hannity a bit less.......LOL

You're a true Democrat you made me laugh just like the rest of them

but there is no evidence anyone from the Trump organization was involved.

No, nitwit........there is a LETTER-OF-INTENT from the Trump organization.
A letter of intent to do what exactly?

Trump wanted to build a building. He often partners with local developers to either build a propery, or licenses the Trump name. There is nothing sinister in him wanting to build a hotel in Moscow.

hiLIARy's UraniumOne fracas, on the third hand, is Sinister All Over.

Let's get away from hypotheticals, everything I can find on sanctions says money has to change hands. Do you have any evidence to the contrary? Yes or NO.

Did Trump negotiate away 25% of our uranium in exchangefor a $125MM donation to the Trump Foundation??

Below is NOT for you, Frankie-baby....You're too far gone with the kool-aid....but, for others

The Clinton Foundation received $145 million in pledges and donations from original investors in Uranium One, prior to its sale to Rosatom.

Former President Bill Clinton also received $500,000 for speaking at a Moscow conference organized by a Russian investment bank after the Rosatom-Uranium One deal was announced, but before it passed muster with the US Committee on Foreign Investments, according to the Times story.

Most of the $145 million in Clinton Foundation donations came from one person, a major Uranium One investor named Frank Giustra. Mr. Giustra has said that he sold all his shares in Uranium One about 1-1/2 years before Mrs. Clinton became secretary of State – and three years before Rosatom and its Russian cash came calling.

There is no direct evidence of a quid pro quo between Clinton and Uranium One backers. As one of nine members of a US committee weighing the deal, it was not within Clinton’s power to approve the deal on her own. There is no evidence Clinton was even informed of the prospective deal while she was secretary of State. While cabinet heads make up the committee, that is a nominal position. As often the case in government, subordinates go to the meetings and do the work.

What's the real story behind Hillary Clinton, Russia, and uranium ...
https://www.csmonitor.com/.../What-s-the-real-story-behind-Hillary-Clinton-Russia-..

Jake, you should write comedy for Carrottop. That was first rate funny. Hillary got $150MM, let's be real, $145MM went to the Foundation and $5MM in sitting in the Caymans of Lichtenstein or bitcoins with her name on the account, and Russia got 25% of our uranium because she signed off on it but there was no quid pro quo.

LOL
