Those who are familiar with mediation, arbitration, and other forms of alternate dispute resolution know that meeting with the major parties separately is almost always beneficial, and just a part of the process. Anyone implying that there is something nefarious about it is either speaking politically or uninformed.

The ultimate resolution will include assurances by the U.S., NATO, and Ukraine that Ukraine going forward will remain NEUTRAL - not a NATO member and not beholden to Moscow. Some of Moscow's territorial gains will be solidified. The Ukraine coming out of this will be a viable, rich country, hopefully one that will attract the millions who have left to return. The deaths will stop.
