Starting with the Vietnam War, this country has endured decades of college student protests, with an adoring Media seeming to support every "cause," without consideration of its rational or factual underpinnings. I saw this bit of wisdom in the article, which I think summarizes the best overall view of the phenomenon, and couldn't help sharing it:

"Students are immersed in popular causes before they have mastered the history, economics or moral reasoning needed to judge those causes."

Jesus, ain't that the truth?

And regarding today's ICE protests, where are the teachers and professors pointing out that these protests are merely seeking to impede the Federal government from enforcing long-standing laws that President Trump was elected to enforce? I don't see them anywhere.

Funny, I think if anyone has failed to master history, it's the supporters of Trump.

They can start with "Germany, 1933" to see why what Trump is doing is a terrible idea.

The thing was, those radical College students in the 1960's were RIGHT. Vietnam was a terrible idea. I don't think anyone sane today argues that the Vietnam War was a good plan.
