No network is required to run a show that is costing them money or believe there is no market for. We used to have lots and lots of daytime talk shows and they are all gone, we used to have all three networks with Saturday morning cartoons, they are history, we used to have tons of soap operas, they are history, tons of daytime game shows, they went away.

The market is always changing and so networks need to keep up with trends, there will never be another Johnny Carson type grip on late night TV.
