ESPN is facing competition from streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, and it is also facing criticism for its high salaries and its focus on sports.

The players are excellent. They are not worth the money they are paid though. and those who have cable have no option to eliminate the sports networks. Then the people who want them can pay for it. Sports were just as entertaining a half century ago and cost pennies on the dollar compared to the crazy costs of today. A collapse of broadcasting rights is needed, and it has not started yet.
