And exactly does it mean? It is vaguely worded. Can a teacher introduce books with LGBTQ characters? Can tbey discuss different family structures? The law ONLY targets two items: sexual orientation and gender identity. Sexual orientation only comes up if one talks about gay people, not when one talks about hetersexual people. It does not ban discussion of sexuality.

In addition to a poorly defined law, you have very clearly defined punitive actions parents can take of they “think” this law has been violated and as vaguely defined as the law is, they could easily win with the teacher bearing allthe costs.

Does that make it about romance since it indirectly describes either the relationship that gave birth to D&J or indirectly infers the children’s heterosexual status? No. They just are. So are LGBTQ people, until you get to books for older kids. Can some books be over the top? Of course. Does mean a ban on rainbow characters? If so…what are we teaching'our kids by “disappearing” entire groups of people?

The problem with streaming is the business model and enormous costs before profit (if any) starts to be realized. This has nothing to do with “woke”, because it’s affecting all the platforms. If someone doesn’t like the content, they can just hop to another…yet they are all having problems.
