Tesla Model 3: Tesla is now holding close to $700 million in customer deposits
Tesla has close to $700 mil in preorders. $1000 required for the preorder / $700 mil is 700,000 preorders! That is pretty good outlook. The Model 3 is supposed to roll out in 2017. If they could deliver even 75k this year they would be huge.
Granted the car has to actually sell for $35k as advertised. My guess is it will be closer to $50k. At $50k 100k cars a year will be a reality.
That will be huge.
