I saw a broadcast on CNN a few days ago, about Trump's elaboration of his reasons for calling Bill Clinton the worst sexual abuser in American political history. Juanita Broddrick was mentioned, and I was surprised to hear the announcer claim that Broaddrick's story was "discredited". Amidst barrages of screams, smears, and insults by Democrats at the time, no actual "discrediting" was ever done. Many of the reporters who worked the story at the time, have since admitted they could find very little to contradict or refute Broaddrick's account of Bill's activities.
Bill is not running for President, of course. But the story is highly relevant, since it brings up the question, where was Hillary when all of this was going on? Answer: Part of her activity was in helping to abuse, smear, intimidate, and generally bury the dozens of women who kept showing up during Bill's 1992 Presidential run. So many women kept levelling accusations against him, that the Clintons referred to them as "Bimbo Eruptions".
Fast forward to December 2015. Just a few months ago, Hillary announced that she was all for believing women who were claiming to be victims of sexual assault or rape. Broaddrick, long silent until then, reacted with astonishment. "How can she be so ignorant? Doesnât she know weâll all come forward again? Has she lost her mind?â
The Clintons' crimes are coming back to haunt them, as they have haunted the various women Bill harassed for twenty years.

Juanita Broaddrick: Network's correspondent 'Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea' Mitchell
Published: 1 day ago
First, GOP presumptive presidential candidate Donald Trump ripped away the âphilandering husbandâ façade from Bill Clinton, publicly charging on Fox Newsâ âHannityâ on Wednesday that the former president committed ârape.â
Then, on the same day, the victim, Juanita Broaddrick, described for the first time â in a WND exclusive sit-down interview conducted in Broaddrickâs Arkansas home â exactly how the alleged 1978 sexual assault had deeply and permanently scarred her life throughout the intervening decades. And Broaddrick mentioned something else: Of all mainstream journalists, the one she spoke to recently on the phone, seeking an update from Broaddrick on the rape incident and its aftermath, was NBCâs Andrea Mitchell.
How ironic, then, when Thursday, Mitchell said on-air that Broaddrickâs rape allegation, first televised by her own network in a sensational âDatelineâ segment in 1999, had been âdiscredited.â
âLisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea,â Broaddrick told WND today, responding to Mitchellâs comment essentially calling her a liar.

It was Myers, NBC Newsâ well-respected and recently retired senior investigative correspondent, who in 1999 was so convinced of Broaddrickâs authenticity that she interviewed her for the networkâs primetime story.
Indeed, Mitchellâs âdiscreditedâ claim clashes directly with Myers, who as recently as 2014 confirmed that âNothing has come up since that story was reported that in any way undercuts what Juanita Broaddrick said.â
Hereâs what Broaddrick said today in response to Mitchellâs claim:
âNothing has changed from the detailed investigation NBC did into my story in 1999 before airing my Dateline interview with Lisa Myers,â Broaddrick said in a statement to Los Angeles attorney Candice Jackson, who conducted the in-person interview with Broaddrick for WND, having previously authored the acclaimed book, âTheir Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine.â
âAnd if NBC now thinks my experience has been âdiscredited,'â Broaddrick continued, âwhy would Andrea Mitchell call me to ask me for any new information about my encounter with Hillary after the assault? And why wouldnât Andrea Mitchell have written her own news story explaining exactly how Iâve been discredited? Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea.â
Mitchellâs unprecedented media disparagement of Broaddrickâs rape accusation came in her on-air report on Trumpâs ârapeâ reference.
âDonald Trump using that word unprompted during an interview last night with Fox Newsâ Sean Hannity, bringing up a discredited and long denied accusation against former President Bill Clinton dating back to 1978 when he was Arkansas attorney general.â
As the Washington Free Beacon pointed out, Mitchell âis correct to say this allegation is âlong denied,â but on what basis is she calling it discredited? On the contrary, Broaddrickâs allegation is arguably the most consistent and believable accusation of sexual assault made against Bill Clinton (though not, of course, the only one). For a little perspective here, note that even progressive site Vox says the allegation, âhas not been definitively refuted.â Vox also notes that reporter Michael Isikoffâs book contains a reference to a concession by Clintonâs lawyers that he may have had âconsensual sexâ with Broaddrick.â
Mitchellâs comments on Trumpâs ârapeâ reference came on the heels of a weekend New York Times story on Trumpâs treatment of women headlined âCrossing the Line: How Donald Trump Behaved With Women in Private.â Since its publication, the story has been widely condemned â one could even say âdiscreditedâ â by the very women quoted by the Timesâ reporters, who say their words were shamelessly twisted to fit the newspaperâs pre-ordained story line.
Trump responded to the Times story on âHannityâ by focusing on Bill Clintonâs serial sexual abuse of women.
Hannity picked up the theme: âFor example, I looked at the New York Times. Are they going to interview Juanita Broaddrick? Are they going to interview Paula Jones? Are they going to interview Kathleen Willey?â Hannity asked Trump. âIn one case, itâs about exposure. In another case, itâs about groping and fondling and touching against a womanâs will.â
Trump interjected, âAnd rape.â
âAnd rape,â Hannity repeated.
In âTheir Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine,â Jackson documented the failings in the White Houseâs denial at the time, a statement that read, âAny allegation that the president assaulted Ms. Broaddrick more than 20 years ago is absolutely false.â
Explained Jackson: âNo attempt to argue that Clinton wasnât even in Little Rock on the day in question, or that he had never been alone with her, or even that they hadnât had sexual relations. The denial was immediately parsed by some on the press and public wary of Clintonâs overly technical, legalistic use of the English language. Broaddrick wasnât known as âMs. Broaddrickâ in 1978, some noted â at that time she was âMrs. Hickey.'â
And, Jackson added, âShe alleged rape, not âassault.'â
On Thursday, Jackson was specific: ââNot credibleâ was never a label anyone was able to throw at Juanita â not even Clinton loyalists like George Stephanopolous. âDiscreditedâ has NEVER been used against Juanita before, and it is an outrageous lie. Journalists confirmed details such as Juanitaâs attendance at the nursing home event in Little Rock and the location of the hotel where she met with Clinton. Friends at the time confirmed that she told them about the assault right after it occurred. The only thing that has ever been used against Juanita is the fact that she did sign an affidavit denying sheâd experienced unwanted sexual advances from Bill Clinton in the mid-1990s, in an effort to keep her name out of the Paula Jones lawsuit.
âShe admitted to Ken Starr in 1998 that sheâd lied in that affidavit (that rape had in fact occurred), and she has told the same consistent version of events ever since. That affidavit existed in 1999 when Juanita first told her story to the WSJ and then on NBCâs âDatelineâ with Lisa Myers. That affidavit simply didnât hold up against the overwhelming evidence of the truth of her story of rape.â
And what about Hillary Clinton, who hopes to become president in a few months?
Jacksonâs latest interview with Broaddrick reveals Broaddrickâs âhauntingâ encounter with Hillary Clinton shortly after the alleged rape:
âAbout two weeks after the rape, Juanita reluctantly showed up at a Clinton for Governor campaign event that sheâd committed to attending prior to being assaulted. She hoped to show up briefly and leave before the Clintons arrived, but instead, Hillary Clinton spotted Juanita and walked directly up to her, grabbed her hand, looked her in the eyes and said deliberately, âWe want to thank you for everything that you do for Bill.â Juanita tried to step back but Hillary tightened her grip on Juanitaâs hand and repeated, âEverything you do for Bill.â The cold look in Hillary eyes still haunts Juanita. âBill Clinton was charming and personable,â Juanita says, âbut Hillary never had that â sheâs just cold.â Juanita understood Hillaryâs calculated âgreetingâ as a threat to keep quiet.â
Broaddrick told Jackson she decided to speak out now because of a campaign-season comment from Hillary Clinton. âIt was all because of Hillaryâs tweet in December [2015] where she said we all need to âbelieve the victims of sexual assault.â How can she be so ignorant? Doesnât she know weâll all come forward again? She was saying in that tweet that all of us are liars. Has she lost her mind?â she said.
Bill is not running for President, of course. But the story is highly relevant, since it brings up the question, where was Hillary when all of this was going on?
