For the last few years, we've had a lot of ups and downs at the gasoline pump. It got so expensive at one point, that I finally decided to quit getting out of the house 3 times a day (It's 6 miles to the nearest town) and made myself a promise to buy gasoline only on Mondays, and only when I need it.

Now I'm staying at home a lot and getting a lot of charity quilts made. It was a little hard getting used to isolation at first, but I'm getting used to it, And this week, I still have half a tank, and the last fill was over a week ago. And I planted the first pack of seeds yesterday that I've planted in years. They were bluebonnets, and 500 seeds doesn't go ver far in the 2-acre field I planted them in. I got one row that curved up from the gate to the NW corner and from there to the SE corner of the north west field. To do 14 acres solid, no telling how many packages of seed I'd have to buy, so hopefully, some of them will germinate and flower, and I can collect the seed in April or May, whenever the plants start losing their blue color. Never harvested bluebonnet seeds before, if any come up, that is. Maybe it will be sunny tomorrow.
