new graduates hoping to work in climate and sustainability

Trust me, those jobs are still very plentiful ... just not as high paying as they might like.

Whoa ... are you joking? ...

I'm speaking about UCLA here ... and their math requirements to get a degree in climatology makes them hot prospects across all the scientific disciplines ... c'mon, hydrothermodynamics is some of the most complicated material out there ... you got a degree in this shit? ... this is totally employable, maybe not in climatology, but anything that requires heavy math will grab you up in a hurry ...

Can always get a job forecasting weather ...
Yes, but their whole point is that they hate education of any kind. And especially education that they are to retarded to understand.

Are the classes subjective, or objective?

Linear Algebra? ...

It's generally considered abstract ... you claim to be a geologist ... you should know all about basis and linear relationships ... you tell us? ... subjective or objective? ...

This is for UCLA ... other schools may be less rigorous ... but the whole field of Atmospheric Science and her allies are moving towards stress tensor solutions ... like they use in geology ... maybe you can explain to us why that is ...

An interesting video on one companies mission and it's effect on climate. Some of the comments here remind me that former President H.W. Bush first job out of his Ivy league education was sweeping put Warehouses in Waco Texas. Hilliary Clintons jobs after her Ivy League education was at a small bank and one of her responsibilities was taking care of her employers laundry. So an Ivy league education doesn't mean success right out of graduation you still have to work for it.
I myself would like to work for the company that made this video even at a low level job.
