I'm going to go with if the Clemson/Bama game is close, regardless of who wins, and Oklahoma can win big, I'd give the national title to Oklahoma.

Not a big deal, I've done the same sort of thing. Brady is old for a QB....which just makes me feel my age, since he's younger than I am.

I only caught a little bit of the game (I'm not a college football fan), but it was much more defense-oriented than the Georgia / Oklahoma game, where the defenses seemed almost inept (and that's even with a defensive touchdown having been scored).

It's funny because no one thought Clemson would be in the hunt this year with a freshman QB .....

Last night, Alabama showed what they can do when they are healthy. They dominated every phase of the game.

They held Clemson to the 2nd lowest total yards since Dabo has been the head coach.

Clemson averaged 36 points per game throughout the season. And only auburn and Alabama held them to fewer than 24 points. auburn allowed 14. Last night was the only game this season where Clemson never got into the endzone.

Clemson has a pro caliber defensive line. Alabama still scored 17 points, mostly with the run game.

Jalen Hurts is always maligned as a QB. No, he didn't throw the long ball. But he also didn't throw and interception against a very good Clemson secondary. And he is a true sophomore with a record of 25-2, and about to play in his 2nd Nation Championship game.

I think Kirby will have Georgia in the mix, but Bama has been at or near the top since 2008. So yeah, you are stuck with Bama for a while.
