There is no such thing as a town without crime, if that were true no cops or judges would be needed. I grew up in a large city (OKC) and live now by a town of around 2k Both were run by Dems and Repubs, no one person controls a town or a city it is done by groups of people that are elected.
I ran my own business and all the owners in the small town I live by are by locals with the exception of the Tyson's plant. If you think your education starts and stops at a school you are a fool and we are all economic slaves to a system which makes us pay to survive, if you lived in the wild you'd be a slave to existence to nature and there is no escaping it.

It is no different because capitalism died in 1929...These people are not true conservatives in fact they were libertarians before Trump was elected, anarchist who hated the US when Oblama was president. Now they want the govt. to be strong and centralized with Trump as a dictator, they want the US to enforce laws that violate the workers and the minorities. They want to continue the failed policy of the drug wars, they want to be able to deny LGBT people equality. They want to continue to violate our 4th amendment rights on asset forfeiture.
They want to use excessive force to kill people via the cops, but by God they don't support abortion of white kids.
