That is because there are none. While some may call DC the swamp, Trump is pretty much turning it into a cesspool. Those on again off again tariffs, nothing more than market manipulation and have you seen the exemption list? Those exemptions were the whole purpose behind those tariffs. The Trump administration is all but offering those exemptions up for bids.
Trump's dabbling in virtual currency, the BitMEX pardons, it reeks of corruption. Hell, even the deportations and the ICE raids, they are targeted at political enemies. You won't see them raiding any Tyson or Cargill plants. It is always small independent operators, the ones that don't have the finances to pay off politicians, oh, I mean donate money to some SuperPac.
And Dude, Trump is raising money hand over fist. He can't run again, but he controls a 600 million dollar warchest, his attempt at continuing to control elections. He wants one billion dollars for the 2026 midterm and he is personally making phone calls. I mean how do they go?
"Please hold for the President", when the CEO gets on the phone. Wonder how many gate-keepers the White House had to negotiate through. But let's say it is J. David Donahue of GEO group. Trump would probably just call him JD, has a familiar ring to it. Trump would tell JD how great Trump is, all the great work he has done, but then he would go into beggar mode, going to need money to fight. But Trump will come back with the hard close. "JD, you know that pesky EPA investigation into that tasty ass disinfectant you used in California. The one that causes permanent eye damage and skin burns, we can make that go away".
Did the above happen? Well sure could have, GEO group was a major Trump donor. The EPA dropped their investigation, and all those people ICE is rounding up, well they got to go somewhere. Those "prisons" is what GEO group does, and they have been granted huge contracts to build more.
Look, even if it did happen, not really that big of a deal. Hell, maybe Trump and JD were old frat brothers. I mean it is the nature of the beast kind of thing, once in a while. But that ain't it with Trump. No, it is a ******* business. It didn't happen once in a while in the first two months Trump was in office, it happened over ONE HUNDRED ******* TIMES.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Trump administration has dropped, withdrawn or halted investigations and enforcement actions against over 100 corporations in its first…

The thing that really jumps out,
- 45 of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) investigations and cases – that is, nearly every case about which public information is available,
That one really gets me. Republicans have always been dead set on getting rid of the CFPB. I mean it is where they truly reveal who they stand with, and sorry, but it ain't the working man. I mean the story of the CFPB, it's history, reveals everything about the Republican Party. The very idea, and the structure of the CFPB, was proposed by none other than Elizabeth Warren. She wasn't a senator at the time, she was a law professor, at HARVARD.
Funny, how projection, portrayal, controlling the narrative works. The CFPB has been instrumental in returning hundreds of millions of dollars to consumers mistreated by corporations. And trust me, I know. Those corporations, rather it is your cell phone provider or your family doctor, who is a member of a "group", corporate held with feeder affiliates for everything, from labwork to X-ray.
You ain't wrong till you get caught, don't get caught. That is how they operate. I know, I spent two decades being a "closer". Not in sales, in shutting down those assholes that pushed the envelope. That took advantage of the least among us. That don't care if they break the law, if they push through regulations. It is all about the almighty dollar, and I can respect that, but not when it comes from the weakest members of our society. So I closed it off. I called them out, sitting in homes throughout the Southeast, the fine people giving me permission to speak on their behalf. I close it. I shut it down.
I mean they are out to get you. And it is all a con game, terrible. Nothing makes sense anymore. And now, well the Trump administration is letting the foxes loose, for a price. I am seeing it now, comical. Wife finally was convinced it was time to switch cell providers. Four lines, yes, I still subsidize a few of my kids. So the old line is still trying to collect. I got all the documentation of the cancellation. But the wife wants to handle it. She is struggling. I would shut it down in less than two minutes.
