Clarence Thomas-Enemy to Blacks, And all of America

Sure it is. It makes up for all the white privilege.

No, it doesn’t. It discriminates against white INDIVIDUALS. Your presumption that simply being white gives you privilege is patently false. This fictional Cleetus character of yours, with two teeth who dropped out of school in the 5th grade, may be white as the driven snow, but he doesn’t have a leg up on getting a job because of it.

Thomas: One of a handful of American blacks who has his crap together. He's a common sense, pro-American who loves the Constitution and does what he can to preserve it and to interpret it correctly.

Sure he does. When a black name is only 50% as likely to get a callback on a resume as a white name, Cleetus has a huge advantage.

Sucking up to white people isn't having your crap together.

Especially when you hide behind your race when accused of something unsavory, like Thomas did.

FWIW, Justice Thomas has been one the most outstanding and effective Supreme Court Justices in our history.

The Left's campaign against him - initially furthered by racist Senator J. Biden (D-DE) - has been disgraceful. And it's all because he rejects the Leftist narrative that Blacks are inferior and cannot make it without cheating in their favor.

If you want to go that route, I can assure you that a guy named Cleetus would be no more likely to get a call back. What does that tell you?

That nobody actually names their kid Cleetus, to start with. In fact, "Cleetus" is usually a nickname.

In fact, the only "Cleetus" I could find was Cleetus McFarland, and Cleetus isn't his given name.

Now, yes, the thing is Jamal is a legit name, but not one that is going to get callbacks.

But even a black guy named "Greg" is going to run into a similar problem when the phone screener realizes he talks with an ebonic dialect, or he shows up for the interview and people realize that he's black.

Bullshit. Everything Thomas has gotten is because of Affirmative Action.

Or do you really think a guy with two years on the bench was the most qualified person Bush-41 could find?

Ah, now we may be on to something. Why wouldn’t most people name their kid Cleetus? It is clearly a white sounding name, but it has negative connotations. Guess what, it is very possible they wouldn’t get a call back on a resume. Would that be considered racial discrimination?

Clarence Thomas is a sellout. And the only people who support him are enemies of equal opportunity and of American democracy. His wife is an insurrectionist, and so by extension that makes him one. And yet he sits on the Supreme Court. He took the place of Thurgood Marshall. And Marshall is turning around in his grave like he's on a rotisserie because of the choice the first Bush made.

Thurgood Marshall

Thoroughgood "Thurgood" Marshall (July 2, 1908 – January 24, 1993) was an American civil rights lawyer and jurist who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1967 until 1991. He was the Supreme Court's first African-American justice. Prior to his judicial service, he was an attorney who fought for civil rights, leading the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Marshall was a prominent figure in the movement to end racial segregation in American public schools. He won 29 of the 32 civil rights cases he argued before the Supreme Court, culminating in the Court's landmark 1954 decision in Brown v. Board of Education, which rejected the separate but equal doctrine and held segregation in public education to be unconstitutional. President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed Marshall to the Supreme Court in 1967. A staunch liberal, he frequently dissented as the Court became increasingly conservative.

Clarence Thomas

Clarence Thomas (born June 23, 1948) is an American lawyer and jurist who serves as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He was nominated by President George H. W. Bush to succeed Thurgood Marshall and has served since 1991. After Marshall, Thomas is the second African American to serve on the Supreme Court and has been its longest-serving member since Anthony Kennedy's retirement in 2018. Since Stephen Breyer's retirement in 2022, he is also the Court's oldest member.

Thomas was born in Pin Point, Georgia. After his father abandoned the family, he was raised by his grandfather in a poor Gullah community near Savannah. Growing up as a devout Catholic, Thomas originally intended to be a priest in the Catholic Church but was frustrated over the church's insufficient attempts to combat racism. He abandoned his aspiration of becoming a clergyman to attend the College of the Holy Cross and, later Yale Law School, where he was influenced by a number of conservative authors, notably Thomas Sowell. Upon graduating, he was appointed as an assistant attorney general in Missouri and later entered private practice there. He became a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator John Danforth in 1979, and was made Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education in 1981. President Ronald Reagan appointed Thomas as Chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) the next year.

Compare the resumes of these 2 men and it is apparent that Thomas should NEVER have been put in to replace a legendary legal mind such as Marshall.

If is not the job of a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States to be a friend nor enemy of equal opportunity.

It is the job of a justice of the Supreme Court to issue opinions on Points of Law and Legal Procedure and Constitutionality.

Regardless of whether he-or-she-or-it is Black, White, Yellow, Red, Brown, Purple, Green or Turquoise with Purple polka-dots.

Thomas has his own collection of shortcomings but his neutrality in such matters is not one of those shortcomings.

In that regard he is doing exactly what the broader American electorate hired him to do, and what they and history expect of him.

No, you're still in liberal bondage. You can't see nor discern. Very sad.

So you miss the point.

Naming your kid "Greg" doesn't solve the problem, does it?
The guy who rejects Jamal's resume is going to reject Greg when he calls him and he talks with an ebonic dialect.
If Greg has managed to suppress his dialect, they are going to know he's black when he shows up for the interview.

Wrong

The gains made by blacks is due to capitalism not AA

This country was built by many including blacks but no more so than anyone else

Civil rights legislation has been a failure and abomination

Capitalism tends to keep poor people poor.

College education is EXPENSIVE. There haven't been more than a few millionaires handing out scholarships to Black people or anyone else.

Civil right legislation, AA, and other government policies, including financial aid are what has given millions of American the ability to afford college.

No it does not

Capitalism has ended more poverty than any other idea or system.

College education has become worthless

At best capitalism will raise people from absolute poverty to low paid wage slaves.

College education in the right field is incredibly valuable. In the many wrong fields is worthless.

Many college degrees are not intended to be vocational.

There is no such thing as a wage slave. Capitalism has elminated poverty in much of the world. All colelctivist ideas have failed

College education in any field is nore indoctrination now than anything else.

I got sad news for you...poverty exists all over the world especially in capitalist countries.

Right now, the U.S. is suffering massive illegal immigration due to the capitalist policies that were forced on Central America in the 1980s. Those policies caused massive poverty.

Sorry to debunk your delusions.! (NOT!)

Only some college majors include any 'indoctrination'. If someone majors in Political Science they're going to be exposed to a very large variety of political thought, if they major in Engineering, business, finance or pre-Med, they're less likely to take courses that have any 'indoctrination'.

Of course, MAGA Morons would like all college majors to do nothing but worship their orange god-child.

I speak for blacks more than your ass does and you only think that uncle toms who regurgitate white racist views about blacks are independent thinkers. Thomas is not thinking for himself, those who oppose him are. And if you are white and posting racist bs, that's what you will be called.

You know how it is IM2. You count on racism as an excuse for your poor disposition, and racism makes you feel important.

Try some reading comprehension

no one said it does not exist.

Of course it does but most of it is in third wrld and soclaisty countres.

Capitalist policies have nothing to do with the immigration crises

you have debunked nothing. Indroctination is not present in all college majors

Trump has nothing to do with this try to worship someone else besides trump
