To be fair socialist Democrats did create Black ghettos. In the 1930s. FDR's New Deal policies, especially his housing policies, subsidized the building of suburban homes and neighborhoods for middle class and poor white families while it created government housing projects for black citizens. They drew redlines around these neighborhoods, only subsidized and insured homes for white families and in some cases demanded builders build walls between white and black communities to ensure black people couldn't even enter them, let alone buy houses in them. These racist housing policies account for almost the entire wealth gap between black and white families with white poor and middle class wealth being held mostly in the equity of their homes. You couple that with tying public education to property taxes and you have the perfect recipe to keep black citizens impoverished and uneducated. The question today is what do we do to fix this problem that was engineered by racist segregationist policies? Progressives Democrats (not moderate democrats) would love to see reparations for those racist housing policies and investment in black communities for new schools and homes. What's the Republican solution?

As for the black population turning away from Democrats that's just stupid. Nixon, Regan and Bush all got a higher percentage of the black vote than Trump. We might be fed up with the moderate end of the Democratic party but we certainly aren't going to switch over to the more racist party. And that's the truth of America.
