Not surprising move for the Pro-Putin, Pro-Russian Republican President, siding with a dictator and invader against a neighboring country, as if a country's might makes it right, and ripe for hostile takeover, no matter international law and treaty. Ukraine should have never given up the vast nuclear weapon stockpile (brokered by US and Russia), or they would not be in this mess.

I admit, St Petersburg is home to one of the largest Russian Troll farms, and trolling is right up Trump's alley, but not what he was offering Putin, or negotiating for, up to 2 weeks before clinching the nomination in 2016.
