Trump's leadership style was not prepared for something like this. Not that it would have mattered. Any person that was president at the beginning of COVID would have lost, as the establishment took control.
Why was the lab built in Wuhan??? Because SARS came out of the same area. And because Wuhan exists on the edge of one of the last unexplored jungles in the world. The risk of exposure to viruses and bacteria not previously seen by modern man, is very high.
Up until August of 2019, there were American scientists working at the Wuhan lab, but Trump thought it was a stupid idea for Americans to be spending money on virus research in China, so he called them all home and stopped funding the research. Had they remained in China, you might have had some true idea of what happened in the lab.
Furthermore, 1.2 Americans died because TRUMP FAILED TO PROPERLY DEAL WITH THE PANDEMIC. QUIT TRYING TO BLAME OTHERS FOR HIS FAILURES.

We could not get past "It was a Chinese Virus" proclamation as all who said it were called "haters". Trust is lost with a lot of institutions in our nation now.
