I think some of it depends on where you live. Beer is best served very cold. Which is why people up North don't drink it as much as people in the South. Right now on my patio, it's 86 degrees.

In the UK, they drink warm beer. Mostly because Lucas made their refrigeration units for years but partly because Room Temperature there is slightly above freezing.
