Nowhere has this been more evident than in the military arms race. Here in the United States military contractors are capitalists who eye the bottom line. I worked with a military contractor for 15 years and saw firsthand what happens when you will allow bean counters anywhere near the quality control section. It's a horror story let me tell you.

This doesn't happen in China. First of all the Chinese government doesn't just prosecute people who screw them they execute them and they execute them immediately. There's no long drawn out trial or civil rights protests or anything else.

The wage structure here in the United States is also an impediment to high productivity. Don't get me wrong I'm all for high wages but it cannot be denied that paying high wages is an added cost to production and an added slow down to production schedule.

The DEI initiatives that have destroyed American higher education in the past 20 years have allowed China to take a massive lead in the number of technically proficient engineers that are fielded by each country who basically are the heart of the R&d military complex. China is way ahead now and cannot be caught.... The United States better be paying attention to this.

The most recent analysis of the Chinese military might indicate that they would win a war with the United States rather rapidly. This analysis comes right in the middle of a massive upsurge in both production and advancement with the Chinese military demonstrating an ability roughly 200 times greater than what is present in the United States right now for military production and advancement.

That means that in five years China won't even have to fight a war physically to win one all they will have to do is declare the war and surrender will be immediate.

This is coming.... It has been for a while.

The arm race with China is the least of our worries. There is more to than just shooting bullets...for example look at the borders they would have to defend. They do not havelagics or ships that = ours.

Also if Vietnam had to choose between China and the USA...IMHO they would choose the USA for economic reason. When Vietnam fought a border with China they kicked China's ass.

If there was a BIG was how many Chinese do you think would defect ? And I am not talking the gooks.* I'm talking the $1,000,000 to start plus bennies. Why do you think the poor ones want to come here ???

WWIII is going to occur, China has been expanding as the world focused on Ukraine and Europe are weak partners who have watered down their own patriotism and spit on civil liberties. Their young wont fight for the same leaders who stepped on their freedoms. This is why it is critical to sink Chinas economy. The longer the world waits, the worse it will be when war begins. For decades the wealthy, lazy Useful Idiots in the West happily armed China. Soon we will all face the fire.

And China is able to still help other counties economically while doing this build up.

The US has to resort to saber rattling and illegally blowing up boats in international waters while China is helping build ports and rail system and more.

Which seems like a winning strategy long term?

And the capitalist greed mongers will continue to sell out the country until Beijing becomes their master.... In some ways it has happened already.

Good post....good points .

If we were to face China head on we would need to depend on the now defunct Republic of China to move in and unseat the CCP. That might be the most effective strategy.

We could severely cripple chinas military simply by deny visas to chinese students in our universites

China has stolen most of the US technology used in their advanced weapons systems

Chinese invincibility is a myth

Its American policy that makes china a threat

lol

Should America adopt totalitarianism OP?

You know what they do with thier National Guard in China ? They ship troops all over the country. That way if they have to attack citizens it is not people from thier provinces...so there is no loyalty.

I'm quite sure the answer is no however it's hard to overlook the mechanics of both systems and how they play out in the power struggle.

We tried that for many decades. One of our own territories Puerto Rico has been given endless billions of dollars and even government naval bases and government departments. And yet they still have poverty. Corrupted to the core. They even closed a huge naval base there because of their arrogance. When a hurricane hit it some years ago, they had a rickety electric system and a basic water system. And it showed. Trump knew it. He also knew the corrupted territory was going to waste the resources given to it due to its union corruption and more. The country is like a socialist communist one with the difference of receiving largesse from the American taxpayer.
