Theoretically this should drop the price of beef by a pretty good margin!

The net was full of bullshit stories about tariffs. This has nothing to do with that.
Last year they had an oversupply imported and harmed their own domestic industries so they decided to slow on the imports.

Lower prices for the US consumer but bad for the US cattle industry.

the MAGA minions see the possible benefit of Trumps irradic moves but they are clueless to what it will cost Americans.
Trump is not elected without clueless people.

If the best the cattle industry can do is eight bucks a pound for a piece of tough steak they need some kind of a comeuppance anyway.

Local ordinances unfriendly to cattle farming are the main culprit here not supplying demand. This will however create a glut that will benefit the consumer.

And the real world capital consumption adroit businessman will find a way to thrive without ripping off the consumer.

At least China was smart enough to realize they need to turn in with and depend on their own homegrown agricultural products.

If steak prices go down I’m good with it.
Taking advantage of hardworking ranchers. But we move more product manufacturing to the USA we will pay more. USA wages are much higher than in other parts of the world. But maybe staeks will be one of the few products that will go down in price.
