In an all too frequent act of censorship, China has attacked its citizens’ rights to express themselves freely. As if to show the world that it can compete with Twitter and Facebook in censorship, the WeChat app in China (similar but bigger, better and more versatile than Facebook) just closed down several popular bloggers.

Chinese social media platform bans account claiming US is ‘processing DEAD BODIES into hamburgers’ – report

Seriously, this proves once again that China can compete with the U.S. in every single area, including weaving idiotic “Conspiracy Theories.”

Álex Jones ... eat your heart out!

Communist governments are propaganda kings. They don't like competition. Like trump, they like to get out ahead of the narrative and put out their version of truth (or alternative facts as the trump administration calls it), but unlike trump they have the power to enforce it and silence those that disagree. It is part of what trump likes about communist countries and strong authoritarian governments in general.

Why single out China for censorship on the Web?

All countries, including ours, censor Web comments.
