I have cousins who live up there. I wonder what this will mean for them.

God bless you and my family always!!!

What happens when you keep electing Mayors who cannot pass 2nd grade math classes...
They say the right things. Unfortunately, the real costs of those agendas are several times more than what government can provide.

A deeper dive into the problem. No mention of illegals.

All the “free stuff” lavished on illegals really does have a cost.

Just another leftist Hellhole spiraling into the abyss.

I hate to say it but, when leftists are dangling at the edge of a cliff, we should just push them off.

What happens when you pass 2nd grade math classes because the curriculum was dumbed down because math is racist?

Why doesn't Chicago just raise taxes? Fellows like Mayor Johnson think that cities can tax their way to prosperity, time to test this liberal theorem, no?
Yes, that is the obvious solution. Tax people more and then when there are less taxpayers all you have to do is raise taxes on the remaining tax payers. Rinse and repeat.

They've got to raise taxes on the "rich" people. And ban white kids from public schools. They're all rich, anyway, they can afford private school.

The democrat strategy is simple. Since state and local governments basically have to balance their budgets, all we have to do is grow the federal government more and more because they don't have to balance their budget. And, to top it off, the federal government doesn't even have to pay borrowed money back, ever, a perfect Utopia. Would could possibly go wrong?

Sounds a lot like Kamala Harris having 1.5 billion campaign dollars vs Trump's half of that and then winding up losing and still owing 20 million dollars to boot. And these are the kind of people we want running our government?

It looks like Chicago thought the $500 million/yr. for Covid relief was perpetual, so they spent it on new socialist programs. As Covid declined they should have used it to retire debt or fix the streets.
