So which will pull the plug and in what order of State, county or city is still in question. But some of the bonds outstanding literally cannot be downgraded further because they're on Negative watch at the lowest ratings above default according to at least one ratings agency. Therefore default should be soonish when some debt cannot be rolled over despite robbing Peter and Paul with perhaps Mary thrown in for good measure. So other than Chapter 3 anyone see any predictable consequences?

Chicago Public Schools bond rating takes another hit

This the school board which has it's own rating. Not the city. At least that's the way I'm reading it.

Nevertheless... this is yet another clear cut case of left-wing ideology at work.

Endless left-wing policies in the Chicago schools, has resulted in the CPS having the highest paid teachers in the country.

But demanding more money for education, doesn't magically make more money exist.

Worse, the Catholic schools which routinely out-perform the public schools, do so at nearly half the cost.

Chicago public spends nearly $13,400 per student.
Chicago Catholic schools spend just $7,600 per student.

Some students qualify for charter school tuition reimbursement. So of course, in left-wing land, guess what the left-tards are screaming about in the massive public school budget....?

The bloated government programs, and wasted money on a school system that doesn't show results, along with the teachers unions which have the highest paid teachers in the country?

Or the charter school reimbursement? Of course, the charter schools. That's the problem.

Don't you think obama will executive order money for the city of his former chief of staff. Not only his legacy, but the people in Obamas inner circle are crashing and burning too. Failure is dogging him. And he won't let his adopted home town go down without spending our money to wallpaper the financial holes.

Anecdotally we had a Midwest couple who grew up and lived in Chicago at the restaurant. They picked up and moved to Florida. They are not retired. In talking to them they said taxes in the city were so ridiculous they just couldn't handle it as small business owners any longer.

Only 2 more months until conservatives never mention Chicago ever again. Get it in while you can guys.

Interesting. Conservatives complained about failed left-wing policies when Bush was in office. And Trump is less conservative than Bush.

Why would 2 months make any difference in your endless leftwing failures?
