Not trump, not yetSo is Trump, and then?
But if the violent attacks on ICE and Homeland Security continue they will have to respond in kind
The insurrectionists are getting bolder

Dont hold your breath waiting for that to happen.
How many of us see that this is going to lead to a time when the local PD's just go rogue and join the NG and ICE?
Happy day.
.
.Dont hold your breath waiting for that to happen
The cops in deep blue cities will stand down because their jobs are on the line, and their pensions
The police don't have a duty to protect anyone not in their custody or control. I guess Trump's national guard troops will have to actually do something
In that case the cops will have nothing to lose by walking off the job.
Well, I'm thinking more of a time when it will become obvious that no one is going to be able to pay their wages and pensions anyway.
.
.In that case the cops will have nothing to lose by walking off the job
Then crime that is already bad will skyrocket
I wish I knew.
And how close are we to that now?
.
No they don't. Just because it is what they are paid to do does not mean they are compelled to do it. This has also been covered by the SCOTUS in a case where they said the police had no obligation to protect a woman from a known abuser after she called them. Their public duty is to society as a whole, and not any particular individual or circumstance except when they are in police custody and/or control.Um..they have a duty to enforce the law...

That makes zero sense. What do you think the job of the police is? To patrol the area and prevent crime, and to apprehend those who do commit crimes. They are there to protect people as well. You are suggesting that if somebody is surrounded by a crowd and they are imminent danger that the police have no duty to stop and protect that person. No they don't. DOJ can investigate civil rights abuses by the police department. You indicated you felt they should be charged with a crime. There is no duty to show up and help, so there is nothing even remotely criminal about not showing up at all. The rest will play out however it plays out.
The leftists here see criminals as their own.Just The Left being their totally normal, wholesome, moral high ground straddling American warrior advocating selves.
You haven't threatened a Democrat's powerYet I managed to stay felony free.
You haven't threatened a Democrat's power
Doesnt the fact that they are paid an annual salary to arrest criminals, mean that they have a duty to arrest criminals? You indicated you felt they should be charged with a crime. "playing?"He's playing dumb.
.The leftists here see criminals as their own.
During the summer of hate, I identified with all the innocent business owners being attacked by Democrat Brownshirts. You see, I own a small business and am a productive member of society and so identify with my own.
Democrat posters, on the other hand supported the criminals for the same reason. Even if not actual criminals, themselves, they identify with the criminal mindset because those are THEIR own.
