Of course, no one has defended the killer in this case, this is a horrible crime.

The problem here is that we've gutted mental health services to pay for tax cuts for rich people, which means that crazy people who randomly stab or push people in front of trains because the voices in their heads told them to is a fact of life. Others buy guns, which according to the wingnuts, is their god-given right because the militia amendment is poorly written.

Our mental health crisis is a combination of liberal naivety and conservative greed.

I blame the liberals who went in front of the courts and INSISTED we close down the mental hopsitials, because Nurse Ratched was mean to Jack Nicholson.

I blame the conservatives who gutted what little help these people were getting because, hey, those rich people need to buy mansions and dressage horses.

Here's the problem. This guy wasn't a violent offender. His 14 charges were mostly related to things the homeless do. The last charge that he was released on was that he tried to call 911 to get some help, and was told that he was misusing 911.

Maybe if he got the help he needed, this wouldn't be an issue.

My last speeding ticket (I get one about once every 8-10 years or so) was pled down to parking in front of a fire hydrant because I agreed to plead guilty and just asked for the points to not be added (and told them I didn't care about how much the fine would be)

Gee it's like you don't know that Decarlos Brown was getting all kinds of mental health services from Second Chance Services. He was consistently released after his crimes and sent back to Second Chance for outpatient treatment.

The judge who got paid for sitting on the bench owns Second Chance Services and also got paid for releasing this killer back into the public.

Actually it's the fact I get so few speeding tickets, I plead on my record, accept I was speeding, and agree to pay the fine, I just don't want the points.

3 different times a crisis police unit was called linked to this violent deranged thug and each time he was released by a magistrate who profited EVERY SINGLE TIME.
