I did okay in school in that department and politics never entered into it one way or the other. I don’t recall having strong political feelings at that age. I had other things on my mind, and most the “hot chicks” I knew cared even less about politics than I did

Peer pressure. If you get labeled a RW kook you are laughed at, shunned. Out. Even a Christian is a bad label i bet? As low as JHS if you admitted your parents voted Nixon?
