The character in that movie was a madman that wanted to cause a Nuclear war on purpose.

My characterization, Sonny in Godfather, is more accurate.
Sonny was undisciplined, said whatever was on his mind and acted on first emotional reactions no matter the cost to himself. -- That was Trump.

The Greg Stillson character was the first thing that sprung to my mind when Trump announced his candidacy and it never left. If anything it grew stronger over his time in office. But I do get your Sonny Corleone comparison and don't disagree.
