There are some reporters who pull no punches when it comes to a story. But in this case, the reporter probably wishes the subject had pulled his. Jeff Chirico, a reporter at CBS Atlanta, was investigating Richard Wilder, a shady used car salesman/tax preparer, who had allegedly bilked customers of their tax refunds. When Chirico discovered Wilder, who is not licensed to sell cars or prepare taxes, was running a new operation after being arrested and charged, he found the man. Neither Wilder nor his father took kindly to ChiricoÂ’s interest in their dealings, with Pappy van Fraudster punching the reporter on-camera. Chirico went down, but not for the count, and came away with the scoop.
