Carpenters

In my opinion Karen Carpenter had the best female singing voice of all time.

Overrated!

In fact, I bought a wooden bookshelf from them and it fell apart in 2 days.

All they can do is sing it seems.

Well then, that does me no good at all!!

Easy pick.

IMO, calling any woman the "best vocalist" involves them being able hit all the notes, without sounding like a cat with its tail squished by a rocking chair on certain notes.....Karen fills that bill.

Others I'd put in that league: Aretha Franklin, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald, Cass Elliot, and the B-52s duo.

As a musician myself I can't deny Karen had a great voice, but I really think Linda Ronstadt has her beat. Also Nancy Wilson, and a whole slew of black female singers as well, especially Sade.

Sadly Karen died at the tender age of 32. In her short life she recorded some of the best songs of all time. RIP

The Christmas Portrait album is the earliest memory that I have of Christmas music.

God bless you and her family always!!!

With all of the amazing talent that we have been exposed to musically, I cannot honestly say there is a GOAT or Best artist. Only that I am thankful that I have been exposed to these wonderful artists.
