"Capitol Police responded to a suspicious SUV outside the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday morning and used a flash-bang to force the person out of the vehicle, according to authorities. Deputy Chief Jason Bell said the suspect "illegally parked" his vehicle outside the building around 9:30 a.m. Officers immediately responded but the man refused to talk and made a statement to the effect of the 'time for talking is done' -- "At that time we backed off, had our crisis negotiation officers attempt to speak with him. The man was refusing to speak," Bell said.

Teams "moved in" around 11 a.m., removed the man from the vehicle and placed him under arrest, according to the deputy chief. Police identified the suspect in a tweet as Dale Paul Melvin, 55, of Kimball, Michigan. Bell said no weapons were found in the vehicle and investigators do not have a motive."

So just because a guy is parked illegally near the Capitol and Supreme Court buildings, you have to throw a flash bang at him and arrest him?? Welcome to Biden's fascist Gestapo America. However, one thing about this story is true....the time for talking is over....time for patriots to stand up to this regime and if need be, remove it. Thank you Mr. Melvin sir for taking a stand and fighting the good fight.

Those damned Trump supporters. Now we need an investigation into the October 5th insurrection.

If you check out the Capital Police....you'll see some of them are from other countries....and some of them look like ANTIFA, earrings....neck tattoos.....beards.....generally rent-a-cops that couldn't work in any department in the country.

There's no such thing as minding your own business when you are parked near potential terrorist targets in the Capital.
Horse Shit!!!!
If they want to get rid of all vehicle traffic in D.C., go for it....because everything in Washington is a potential terrorist target. Every school in the country is a potential target. Does it take a SWAT Team to take down a suspect every time they sit in their car illegally? If that's the case then I think SWAT needs to check out all of the non-handicapped assholes parking in front of Walmart.

Being somewhere he was not supposed to be with an out of state tag, would not speak to the police or come out of his car, what could possibly go wrong?

That is a crock. The guy was parked outside the Supreme Court, illegally, and refused to get out of the car or move it. The police acted accordingly due to the possibility of a bomb, especially after the Jan 6 insurrection. Don't blame 'em one bit, so WTF?

Aren’t there more out of state tags in DC than in district tags? Most of the people who work there live in Maryland or Virginia.

I read the OP, and began to consider --or waffle ----over posting to it.
And then another poster offered a better response than my poor avatar could ever have thought up.

To wit

"Being somewhere he was not supposed to be with an out of state tag, would not speak to the police or come out of his car, what could possibly go wrong?"
