Capitalism

Most rich people give to charities you know…right?

I sympathize with the working poor..those who are really struggling, but, you have a lot of people who are in a bad situation of their own making. Living above their means.

Every night, the restaurants are packed, because people would rather spend $120+ a night eating at a restaurant than buying groceries and cooking at home. They live in a house that is above their income range, momma “needs” the Mercedes SUV with the leather seats and the moon roof, daddy “needs” the brand new Z71 LTZ High Country 4X4 with the 8” lift kit and the super swamped mud tires and a snorkel kit…which will never see any mud..

There will be a boat and 4 wheelers parked out front next to the wave runners..little Timmy just “has” to have the latest and greatest iPhone 15 pro max and little sally just “has” to have the newest Mac book pro

They “have” to have the 80” OLED with a cable package that has every channel!

Then they complain about how it’s just so hard to make ends meet!

Some people are hurting…some people hurt themselves..
Yes they give pennies compared to what they have.
Yes products are hyped to the max, so one must keep up with the Joneses.
Yes many hurt themselves, but the top 3 ultra rich has more than the bottom 3 billion. It will only get worse.

Capitalism as a system has spawned deepening economic crisis alongside its bought-and-paid-for political establishment. Neither serves the needs of our society. Whether it is secure, well-paid, and meaningful jobs or a sustainable relationship with the natural environment that we depend on, our society is not delivering the results people need and deserve.

One key cause for this intolerable state of affairs is the lack of genuine democracy in our economy as well as in our politics. The solution requires the institution of genuine economic democracy, starting with workers directing their own workplaces, as the basis for a genuine political democracy.

Comrades real socialism has never been tried
But this time low IQ ******* and fat assed white broads with their cats will get it right

Forward !

Don't worry it won't be totalitarian at all

You think Musk built Tesla?

He bought in then forced the designers out.

Tesla” these days, it's obviously Elon Musk. But at one point, the moniker went to Martin Eberhard, who co-founded the electric-vehicle maker in 2003. Eberhard headed Tesla Motors as CEO before Musk ousted him in 2007.

What do you think is the appropriate wealth confiscation for those people?

I did not get it wrong.

The profession existed before that

Just as doctors existed before the AMA came along. Formal recognition is irrelevant

You really are not too bright
BOOKKEEPING

NOT ACCOUNTING

The first degree in accounting was awarded in 1887
25 years after the first federal income tax was implemented.

Capitalism is like freedom. It requires the participation of moral, educated people.

I don't buy the "moral" part, only because it's too subjective. But we do need a common understanding of individual rights and a commitment to protect them.

We pretty much understand our rights, it's understanding our responsibilities that is lacking.

I oppose ultra rich when many are living in the streets. Many of them have full time jobs and still cant afford a place to live. One does not need billions when there brothers are suffering.
City planners are to blame. They only want housing built that provides lots of property taxes. This means homes that are beyond to reach of even the middle class.

True story. My boss complained to the city regarding a huge increase in the property taxes on his rental properties. Their response was, "Raise the rents".

Bring a poor person to me and I'll walk him or her through the process of earning a good living, or even getting rich. :)

I don't agree at all. The lack of a common understand of our rights is as the core of our national dysfunction.

I pull back from the "moral" angle because it's usually just a wedge for culture warriors, who are aren't interested in rights, but rather forcing their culture preferences on everyone else via the state.

Drug use and addiction are a huge part of our national dysfunction. Such people, and their supporters, believe that they have that right, and in fact are pushing for more (dysfunction).

I don't think a biological man has the moral right to compete against biological women in sporting events. Is that the kind of rights you are referring to?

Exercising responsibility will save us, exercising rights won't.

No. But my intuition was apparently correct about your use of the term "moral".
