Canada has a 2.1 trillion dollar economy and they have a 1.5 billion dollar defense budget? 🤔

We spend on the domestic Security Industrial Complex but your number does seem low, I didnt look.

This massive S.I.C is why some in the U.S think I am the bad guy when they don't realize that I have been fighting the bad guys since I was a kid.

Our system is about maintaining the caste and generating increases to police budgets in every municipality. For the most part, we figure you would defend us, though we do our lifting when needed.

You might be referring to the Toronto Police budget though, which just received another increase to $1.2B. They had to cut food programs for poor kids and other items for the homeless but hey, they can't help themselves...

P.S Seems we spend more than 20x the number you provided.

LOL.....Their small force of Artic Rangers were equipped with .303 Longbranch (Hoser made) #4 Enfield rifles, the Cadillac of the Enfield world.....Excellent craftsmanship.

So instead of keeping some for replacement issue they surplussed them all off (and parts to boot) to the US and had to develop/buy a new rifle.

They got one from SAKO in .308 and while it's a nice rifle the #4s are sorely missed due to their toughness/reliability in Artic conditions.

I have a 1950 Longbranch #4 that was brand new in the wrap when they surplused it off.....Stupid-ass Hosers.

they don't have too spend much ...they have the US and our enormous military power that costs trillions to maintain to protect them .. the same goes for the far leftist countries that are our allies in Europe .. the US indirectly pays for their socialist programs because they don't have to spend as much on defense because we make up the difference with our military spending ..

The Hell Miles of Canada' are its Defense. + they know we would help kick Russian / Chinese / N.K butts.
Canadas threat is the North Atlantic Sea passage planned takeovers by Russia and China.

The future will prove out the surplus shipments can easily unload and move / Store stuff up there.
Ice Road truckers will do the rest. The above 500' sea level areas will become awesome places to live or vacation spots,
Mansion Estate areas.

Sure its 29 C. below tonight but that's the future of warmth.

It's actually 29.6 billion.
Canada is a joke....

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and the Minister of National Defence, Bill Blair, today released Our North, Strong and Free: A Renewed Vision for Canada's Defence and announced a new overall investment of $8.1 billion over five years and $73 billion over 20 years in defence spending to be included in the upcoming ...Apr 8, 2024

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today announced a ban on some 1,500 makes and models of military-grade and "assault-style" weapons in Canada, effective immediately.

Starting today, licensed gun owners will no longer be allowed to sell, transport, import or use these sorts of weapons in this country.

"As of today, the market for assault weapons in Canada is closed," Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said. "Enough is enough. Banning these firearms will save Canadian lives."

They also kill their own people....

Voluntary euthanasia in Canada led to more than 15,000 deaths in 2023, according to a government report.

The procedures made up 4.7 percent of deaths in Canada last year, new government data shows, according to the BBC.

The report put the mean age of those who died via assisted suicide at just above 77.

Europe can make up the Ukraine funding shortfall if the U.S. withdraws, analysts say

And Canada can start chipping in more too.

Every country should heavily invest in the Military Industrial Complex.
No you actually invest in a military to defend your country that's not our responsibility

We also defend your asses. If you are Canadian. You'll see. No more free rides.
