New states would be created, and the Supreme Court would be expanded, and eh federal gov't would control everything from elections to abortion to guns. Once the Left gets into power, it's over. Of course the devil will be in the details. Banning gun sales in city limits does nothing since right out side of the city limits are endless possibilities to acquire as many weapons as possible. Seeing a whole nation do it will be interesting to watch.
