I absolutely can talk to the left, hell, I actually agree with them on a lot of things, I just dont agree with their method.

Where i get pushed away from them is all the rhetoric I see from the extreme left, who would just assume shoot republicans or dox them and try to cause harm to them.

I just see them as a very intolerant and hateful group. Ive said it many times here, it dont defend trump, I dont even really like him, but I push back against leftists and their hate and rhetoric.

If it weren't for that, id be MUCH more willing to meet them half way, but I struggle to do so when I know they hate my guts because they think im "maga"

Where the Constitution says all persons are entitled to the equal protection of our laws, does that wording leave room to deny systematically personhood and basic human rights to any human beings; based on their age? Size? Temporary level of development? Location in relationship to others?

They not only don't listen, they target you to cancel you and if you piss them off enough, they shoot you.

Well, not me exactly. They can't cancel me as I can recreate myself endlessly, and they don't shoot at me because I don't make mistakes like Kirk and Trump and go out blind and defenseless, begging for it against an angry crowd of loons not even as old as some of my shoes.

I don't go out unprotected, I don't go out defenseless, and best of all, I always win in the fast draw.

I'm not extreme. Most Americans are not extremists. I am part of the middle of the road type. The only "extreme" view I might have is that Black people should recieve reparations for slavery and racism.

If the person is at least somewhat civil, and not extremely angry and emotional, or prone to lashing out with ad homs....I have no problem talking to any type of person, even if their views are opposite of mine.

Many years ago, my sister had a boyfriend who was pretty left-wing. (She's not, so I don't know why she was with him, I think at that time she wasn't that into politics).... and I remember having a number of debates with him that were actually civil and respectful. He was able to discuss ideas without getting all bent out of shape. Of course not everyone is like that.

Abortion has been settled. Its in the hands of each states voters. As it should be. Promote more contraception use and as the fertiliy rate continues its descent, it may very well go away on its own. Theres no losing in that scenario.

Depends on how progressive they are and whether or not they can be civil. For the most part on this message board the answer is no, but I have a few exceptions. dblack, debbiedowner aren't that horrible and Slade3200 is my online big bro!!
