What is "liberal" about the modern Progressive movement?

They are in favor of censorship, they are in favor of "equity" which is government controlled assignment of things like jobs, contracts, and funding. They are in favor of rampaging criminals. They are in favor of unfettered immigration.

They are even in favor of mutilating and drugging children, and men playing in women's sports.

None of that is liberal in the classical sense, or even in a 1980's sense.
