Can We See What These Drones Are Looking For?

Is there some electronic way we can see what these drones are doing?

If they're "sniffing" for radiation...there should be a way we can tell that's what they are doing.

If they're using infra-red cameras...isn't there a way we could tell that?

I'm just thunking we shift from capturing or downing them to spying on them. See what they are up to.

Sure, if they are transmitting collected data to a remote location, their transmissions could be intercepted. Assuming it wasn't also encoded in some way we could not hack.
