Golf is a humbling and exhilarating experience. You constantly fail to execute shots that you know you can do, but occasionally make shots that you know you cannot. When you see the pro's doing it, especially when they fail (like you do) it is gratifying.

And of course, when they do superhuman things, as I saw today...
