California in decline thanks to good intentions gone awry

Nonsense. I'm here for the month and see it first hand. I see the local news. Are they peddling fake news in Florida too? Should I not believe my lying eyes? Gas is over $3 a gallon. A 2 liter is $6. I can get 2 for $5 in MI.

Oh, perhaps the shittiest parts of Florida are cheap/inexpensive. Not where those people you refer to are moving to. They are moving to coastal properties. It's not blue collar moving to Florida to work because Florida companies suddenly don't have illegals to employ. I'll check out your article now.
The avg price of gas in Fl is 2.85…which is actually a cent cheaper the MI

In Cali it’s 4.25

The illegal cleansing of the nation is long overdue. We can get the real bums of our nation to work then. At where I live, part of the waste of Joe, shower heads and heating/AC controls are really screwed up of the quadrillion dollars spent. I can count the drops out of the shower head. You should expect the same frustration towards your family from those you screwed over. There are many older people who deserve a hot shower to relieve pain as a massage that you evil mothers took away. And we are endlessly reminded of it every day.

Ot has gone over $8 recently in some places

Which is what libs thought they wanted till the political backlash hit them

Native Californian here...

I grew up in NorCal (Placer County) skiing my brains out and moved to San Diego for College UCSD and then to Huntington Beach to live last 30+ years.

The Democrats have absolutely destroyed the state with their fraud, regulations, and taxation. The Democrats have stolen over $100 billion for the homeless and our High Speed Rail alone. That number is going to be dwarfed once we see the Daycare and Healthcare fraud that the Democrats facilitated and benefited from.

We have an election coming up. Two candidates have teamed up for Governor and Attorney General. Steve Hilton (Governor) and Michael Gates (Attorney General) are that team. I know and go to church with Michael Gates. They are actually doing well in the polls. If they can pull it off, California will still have to recover big time, but we may have a chance. If they lose, I am calling it and buying a new home in either the Nashville, TN area or Hot Springs, AR. I'll keep the California home, but it will only be my Winter and partial Summer residence.

The cost of electricity is going to skyrocket next month in CA. Democrats believe the poor and middle using less electricity than the rich should subsidize the rich. Look it up.

People vote with their feet and this says it all right here.

Believe whatever you want.

Good!

Get out. We got enough damn people.

Okay so Florida is a better place for the rich in California if they want to save a buck.

And the tech guys who worked in Cali can now come work from Florida?

Like I said the people who live here, 50% of them are considering leaving. So those people being lured here are in for a rude awakening. But they watch Fox News so all they will know if California is on fire. Just like you idiots think Detroit is still doing poorly and it's thriving!!

Perhaps your news is a little behind the times. And it's also propaganda to get people to come to Florida. Who put that news report together and why?

People from various backgrounds, including retirees, remote workers, families, and executives, are moving to Florida for reasons like no state income tax, warm weather, business opportunities, and lifestyle changes, primarily coming from states like New York, California, and Georgia, though recent reports show migration trends shifting with rising costs and congestion affecting Florida's appeal compared to other Southeast states like North Carolina and Tennessee.

And I just told you on the local news said 43% of Floridiots are living paycheck to paycheck and with all the high prices people who already currently live here, 50% of Floridiots are saying they are considering moving out of Florida.

Don't tell me why rich people are moving to Florida. Or why a guy who's got money and can work remote is moving to Florida. **** yea I would too. I might actually. I could make Florida my primary residence and MI my vacation home. I met a Cuban woman. She asked me if I would ever move to Florida. I told her if I met someone here sure. 6 months a year. But then she can come with me to MI.

It ain't cheep living on paradise pal. California is Paradise too. Can't afford it, move to Florida. But can you afford Florida? Not if you got run out of California. Better move to Texas.

Repubs in Florida are not the cause of Florida’s problems the way Democrats on california are busy cutting their own throats
Oh yes Republicans in Florida are the cause of Floridians problems. There tax scheme and pay scales are out of wack just like everywhere else in the country. People who don't make a lot of money can't afford to live there anymore. Just like California. It's an affordability problem. I know now that Trump's in charge and when it's a red state, you say that's a hoax. But it wasn't when Biden was president right? You can't have this both ways pal.

Let's do this. You guys claim more people are leaving California than moving to California, right? Well then what does this say about Trump's America?

Yes, as of early 2026, more people are leaving the United States than entering, creating negative net migration for the first time in over 50 years (since the Great Depression). An estimated 150,000 more people left the U.S. than came in.

Trump's 'gold card' visa starting at $1 million granted to just 1 person so far, White House says

Trump pushed the idea last year, initially suggesting a cost of $5 million, and arguing that it would entice foreign talent to U.S. shores and fill out federal coffers.

ONLY ONE??? No one wants to come to America anymore? You Republicans have ruined this country. You ARE ruining this country. But not if you're rich.

That explains why millions are leaving NY and NJ and moving to Fl.

There’s nothing new about that. People have been moving to Florida for decades. It’s the weather they’re after.

It ain't people who make under $60K flocking to Florida. It's retirees who have to pick. Florida or cold up north. Year round in Florida?

Also, what state did they make their fortunes? AHHH? They made their fortunes in NY, California you say? Not in Florida? But they want to move to Florida because it's cheaper?

I will give Hafar this. I just found this

Yes, jobs are heavily moving to Florida, driven by corporate relocations, a booming population, and a pro-business climate. Florida has recently outperformed national job growth rates, boasting over 427,000 job openings as of December 2025 and even surpassing New York in total jobs. Key sectors seeing growth include technology, finance, education, and health services.

Manufacturing historically moved to and developed in the Northern U.S. due to a combination of abundant water power for early factories, a large immigrant labor pool, superior transportation networks, and a focus on industrial rather than agricultural development. This enabled the North to become the nation’s center for manufacturing and technology.

It won't be long till those workers form into unions. If not great that will keep the prices down.

So many have left democrat states that they will lose 12-15 seats in the house which will shift to the GOP EC votes shift as well. Thats why democrats opened the border to replace them with illegals.
Unions have been in decline for the past 40 years

Low taxes and living costs less crime run by the GOP. Whats new is the number is increasing. Democrats will lose 12-15 seats in the hiouse in the next census
