California in decline thanks to good intentions gone awry

Compared to Florida? What Republicans are doing in their Sunshine State is no better.

Florida's economy in 2026 faces significant pressure from a severe affordability crisis, driven by skyrocketing housing costs and insurance premiums, which have made it the second most financially distressed state in the US. High inflation, stagnant wages, and a potential, modest slowdown in job growth and tourism are exacerbating financial strain on residents.

I live in Florida. Complete bullshit. But a real estate agent we know said our area of Florida is being inundated with folks escaping Blue states up North. Illinois and Michigan are the biggest offenders. Most apparently can't wait to get out of those shitholes.

California used to be the golden state

It was a fantastic place to live and work

But not anymore thanks to liberals

That it still survives shows it still has some merit, the problem is the merit is going away.

"Good intentions"?....Well, I guess that's another way to term vile dem grift. 😐
Yes, for many low intelligence libs it may have looked like a good idea

California still has much natural beauty

And while its eroding slowly, Silicon Valley is still an economic engine and source of wealth

Resources as well. Any other State would have probably failed long ago.

There is a lot of oil still in the ground

But gasoline prices are through the roof

That's one hell of a fantasy you've concocted.

Must also be why people are flocking to Florida and fleeing California.

The mandami, newsome, aoc, bernie sanders, marx and engles progressive experiment has failed
and that one time California will never be back.....its to bad the people of today dont know what they are missing .....

Net negative for the past few decades.

All these numbers, zero links or backup.

Florida and Texas cooperates with ICE and has the illegals in custody numbers to prove it.

Still plenty of work to be done closer to the border than MN

Still plenty of work to be done closer to the border than MN

Work to be done everywhere, but MN decided to resist the lawful authority of the federal government to enforce immigration law.

Trump will not back down, nor should he.

Nonsense. I'm here for the month and see it first hand. I see the local news. Are they peddling fake news in Florida too? Should I not believe my lying eyes? Gas is over $3 a gallon. A 2 liter is $6. I can get 2 for $5 in MI.

Oh, perhaps the shittiest parts of Florida are cheap/inexpensive. Not where those people you refer to are moving to. They are moving to coastal properties. It's not blue collar moving to Florida to work because Florida companies suddenly don't have illegals to employ. I'll check out your article now.

FL has a UE of 4.3, below the national avg

Cali over 5 percent and ranked 49th

While business and people are fleeing Cali they are headed to FL, the number 2 state in the country for business

Perhaps your news is a little behind the times. And it's also propaganda to get people to come to Florida. Who put that news report together and why?

People from various backgrounds, including retirees, remote workers, families, and executives, are moving to Florida for reasons like no state income tax, warm weather, business opportunities, and lifestyle changes, primarily coming from states like New York, California, and Georgia, though recent reports show migration trends shifting with rising costs and congestion affecting Florida's appeal compared to other Southeast states like North Carolina and Tennessee.

And I just told you on the local news said 43% of Floridiots are living paycheck to paycheck and with all the high prices people who already currently live here, 50% of Floridiots are saying they are considering moving out of Florida.

Don't tell me why rich people are moving to Florida. Or why a guy who's got money and can work remote is moving to Florida. **** yea I would too. I might actually. I could make Florida my primary residence and MI my vacation home. I met a Cuban woman. She asked me if I would ever move to Florida. I told her if I met someone here sure. 6 months a year. But then she can come with me to MI.

It ain't cheep living on paradise pal. California is Paradise too. Can't afford it, move to Florida. But can you afford Florida? Not if you got run out of California. Better move to Texas.
