Here ya go, California, with one of the Democrats front runners for president.

California lawmakers are facing a projected multibillion-dollar budget shortfall that state analysts claimed could persist for years, raising concerns over long-term fiscal stability. The situation has prompted GOP criticism over alleged overspending, while Democrats have pointed to expanded health and social programs. The nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office has projected an $18 billion deficit in 2026–27 and ongoing structural deficits through 2029.

The Legislative Analyst’s Office reported structural deficits of $15 to $25 billion a year in its latest forecast. Analysts linked the gap to rising Medi-Cal and safety net costs.

Cali isn't the only one. It's just as bad here, especially after having a multi (m/b)illion dollar SURPLUS and nobody knows where all that money went. I think the same can be said for other Dem states as well

And now Gov Ferguson has said he'd support a state income tax, one of the few things WA hasn't taxed, but now it's up for grabs. Supposedly it's to tax those making $1 million a year but once you open that can of worms it won't be long before everyone is taxed. It's the Dems idea of 'trickle down' economics........start at the top and work your way down. DUMBASSES

No problem for them. All they have to do is tax everyone more. Problem solved. They can also raise gas taxes.

It goes in a cycle, from democrat controlled, to total shithole, to all living there move to other states and the cycle starts again.

The Democrat Politicians spend like a teenager with a stolen credit card.

That is because they are. They are using YOUR stolen credit card in the form of absconded tax dollars. Democrats in every field and industry have inserted themselves in every financial endeavor so that they can skim a large segment off the top before the money even goes anywhere doing anything so to automatically spike an inflationary spiral, but they don't care because inflation doesn't come back to hurt them, it mainly hurts the end users of said services who end up paying much more while getting much less.

Pathetic. Red states aren't doing any better. I live in Kansas, the state that voted a Democratic Governor for the last 2 terms to fix a mess made by a Republican.

Since 1980, California has built 22 prisons and one university. So they spend their money on inmates and not producing educated people to work and pay tax. But it is a Democrat run state.
