I'm sure most people that are in Romneys 47% would like to pay more taxes that come from greater income if they had the chance. What's unusual today is the number of average Americans cheerleading the very wealthy like they're actually heroes working longer hours and thinking way smarter just to keep the country going.

Why should the wealthy pay anything since they are the ones who invent the goods and services that sustain our lives. It is the poor and middle class who make no contribution to our goods and service so make them pay the taxes at least.

How many poor people use accelerated depreciation? As though they had the income to take advantage of it if they were able to anyway. Or write off their lunches or trips? Or maybe claim a tax free haven as their residence to avoid taxes? Or are able to purchase politicians to construct laws in their favor? Since the 60's we went from having a few lobbyists in D.C. to thousands. Again, the income inequality. For a few decades after ww2 average Americans were able to attain a pretty good income level and the good life. Partly due to liberal policies by FDR and other democrats, but also because we were the only country producing anything, Japan and Europe having been destroyed by war. We're sliding back into history where the few at the top have it all and will put people in power that'll keep it that way. We're in the information age now where our knowledge and trade skills are no secret to millions across the globe and the powers that be can tap talent from anywhere for a fraction of what Americans will work for.
Like I said, there are a whole lot of people that would be willing to pay higher taxes if they could make more money but with global competition I don't think it's possible especially with our politicians working against us. Sure they tour the country talking about "jobs" during election time. Which is why Obama appoints CEO's from giant corporations. They are for sure going to figure out how they are going to keep jobs in this country and pay higher wages. Right. Our debaters in the last couple weeks will spend a lot of time talking about jobs but won't talk about the free trade deals that have helped ruin working peoples incomes. I say the wealthy are paying more income taxes now because average Americans are no longer making the incomes that will put them in the higher brackets through no fault of their own.

So, a group, say a university group, comes up with a question. They have a large group of people whom they ask questions of. Carefully devised questions to not shade the study in any direction. And they then look at the answers. But you, quantam, being the self believed genius, can take it apart in no time at all. Why is that quantam??
