This story just horrifies me. What is wrong with people these days? This happened in Spain. They claim the bull injured someone's leg earlier in the day and so they tie this bull to a post and set his horns on fire! The bull trying to stop the pain rammed himself into some structure and died. Sick, sick, sick! They need to stop this madness of running bulls in Spain. It's wrong.

A large bull committed suicide in Spain on Saturday after men lit the animal's horns on fire while it was tied to a post, a graphic video showed.

The video, which was shot in Foios in Valencia and went viral earlier this week, occurred during the “Bulls in the Street” festival, The Telegraph reported. The fiesta imitates the famous Running of the Bulls festival that takes place every year in Pamplona.

In the video, the large, black bull is seen tied to a post in front of a crowd; its horns are lit on fire and a man is holding the bull to the post. When the man lets go, the bull runs away for a moment before turning around and dashing full speed ahead into the post, where it collapsed instantly. After the bull laid dead on the ground, the shocked crowd walks over to the deceased animal.

This kind of cruelty stops when people know it's happening and demand that it ends. Spain needs to be shamed into stopping. Publicly shamed. I raise bulls and treat them like pets. They are very well cared for. One of my bulls was so spoiled we had to cut the grass before he would eat it (when he was younger). This story is personal to me. It's an outrage!

You know, growing up as a boy in Montana, I learned a couple of rules about animals.

If you kill an animal, you better be ready to eat it.

If you are going to kill an animal for food, do it quick and as painless as possible.

They wasted the meat and were unnecessarily cruel. Whoever did this should have the bottoms of their feet caned and then put in front of a herd of bulls.

the animal was mistreated. I believe American citizens that mistreat dogs should be tortured and I would be the head of it. pulling out toenails with pliers would be awesome.

I generally don't care what they do to animals in other countries.

At least that bull isn't a goat in Afghanistan.

I don't even care how they eat dogs in SE Asia.

This story is super interesting.

Cruelty and torture is frequently a result of extreme weakness. The man was too weak. So caused hell for the bull. The bull is innocent. Will the man go to hell?

Also, does it make sense to pray for the bull?

The book of revelations says that god will wipe off the tears of the innocent. Will god save the bull then?

Here is the reply from the Spanish consulate. Spain will outlaw bull fighting for anymal cruelty, as soon as America outlaws fishing for the same reason.

OP, the bull did not "commit suicide". He was crazy with fear and ran into the post.

Animal cruelty - I think the punishment should ,at his the crime. But, it should be noted that the US is worse, if for no other reasons than the numbers.
