Is it true the 🇫🇮Buffalo had a kill- ratio of some 23 to 1 ? Making it the MOST successful US built fighter of all time...

1) Russian planes and pilots were far inferior to the Japanese.
2) The Finns stripped out the carrier equipment (and 2 guns), removing LOTS of weight.

agree, what´d happened if Japan would attack USSR empire in 1941 (instead of han-China)?

Japan essentially had a World War One army with little mechanization and poor logistics. The Soviets would have handed the IJA it's butt in any long-term combat.

Finland Loved The Brewster Buffalo, So They Copied It: VL Humu

The little 3.5 million Finland population had a complex foreign policy in WW2 being on both sides at the same time. The Finns had virtually no manufacturing capability so the FDR administration apparently sold them obsolete bombers and presumably taught them to fly. Ho-hum.

dont you think that Those Finnish pilots must have been excellent to get so many kills out of their Buffaloes ?

Lost in the rant is the fact that Russia (Bolshevik) was an ally of the U.S. for most of WW2. FDR referred to Stalin as "uncle Joe"

Only after Pearl Harbor and the USA entry as a belligerent into the war did Russia become an ally.
Only after Germany attacked Russia in June 1941 did it look like those two countries weren't tag teaming to conquer Europe and nearby regions
Finland acquired it's Buffaloes before that time (USA entry into the war).

Russia was never an ally. Stalin behaved like a co-belligerent, demanding support, but not providing any.

Russia (Bolshevik) was an ally of the U.S.
Bolshevik tsar koba was an ally of National - Socialist Germany (hitler) so what ? whats your point , old man ?

Only after Pearl Harbor did the U.S. enter the (real) war in Europe. Hitler and Stalin double crossed each other and Stalin became an ally. As a matter of fact towards he end of the war FDR forced the U.S. Army to stand by at the Rhine and let Russian troops enter Berlin first. Churchill claimed that FDR's friendship with Stalin set the stage for the "Iron Curtain".

FWIW, I knew all that already, and more.
But others might appreciate your summary.

The Soviets were never allies; they were just attacked by the same kook. FDR bent over for Stalin and should have hanged for it.

From what I’ve read, FDR was surrounded by pro-Soviet/pro-communist people who gained influence as FDR got sicker and weaker. Stalin was never an ally, at best he was a co- belligerent who extorted the WAllies for everything he could get, He was never satisfied by everything he got. He treated WAllied personnel like lepers when he was forced to allow them on Soviet territory, kept them totally isolated from average Soviet citizens. WAllied sailors were restricted to the dock areas of Murmansk IF they were allow off their ships in the first place. The American aircrews from the shuttle missions that Stalin demanded were restricted to the airfields and treated so badly that after the first missions were stopped.

The WAllies should never have gives the Soviets any support at all and let the Soviets and Germans chew on each other like Kilkenny Cats.

+1. You are 100% correct—in the 1940s, communist-Bolshevik penetration of the U.S. was at its deepest. The U.S. didn’t even try to resist. American gentlemen (guffies?) believed that Stalin would not spy on or commit acts of sabotage against an “ally” (1941–45).

Americans never knew because the media downplayed it and protected democrat regimes throughout the 20th century and today.
