Abrego pretended to not speak English very well. Abrego said the owner of the vehicle was his boss. He was given a citation for an expired driver's license which was a limited term temporary. In 2019 the Prince Georges County Police Gang Unit validated that Abrego Garcia was a member of the Mara Salvatrucha gang.
