I read somewhere that the “suspect” being “investigated” by the DOJ is now perfectly free to refuse to answer any questions about her alleged (possible) criminal behavior. Of course, that makes sense.

But the implication could be that it helps her keep her mouth shut for the benefit of anyone else who might be involved. Then, the DOJ will drop the “investigation” sometime after Election Day.

Ok. Completely implausible. Our DOJ would never politicize a criminal prosecution or investigation.
