Breaking: Mexico deploys massive troop force to stop migrants from crossing the US border
Mexico has sent a massive deployment of troops to the U.S.-Mexico border in order to crack down on the crisis of migrants attempting to enter into the United States.
Mexico's Secretary of Defense Luis Sandoval said that nearly 15,000 troops had been sent to the U.S.-Mexico border, and approximately another 2,000 National Guard troops to the Mexico-Guatemala border.
"In the northern part of the country, we have deployed a total of almost 15,000 troops composed of National Guard elements and military units," Sandoval said.
This deployment comes after President Donald Trump threatened to raise tariffs on Mexico, among the greatest trade partners of the United States, unless the country acted to lessen the crisis on the border
So, Trump is a winner again, his tariffs threat worked. Never underestimate The Donald.
15,000 is not massive, considering the size of the border, but it might constitute a Good Faith Effort.
If it has an significant impact, that would be very good, and Mexico would have taken the first baby steps in repairing relations between us.
And yes, this is a win for Trump.
Still BUILD THE FUCKING WALL.
