President Trump fired the head of the FBI Washington Field Office, according to NBC News reporter Ken Dilanian.
David Sundberg is the highest ranking FBI official to be fired in Trump’s second term. Trump fired FBI Director James Comey during his first term.
Sundberg oversaw the January 6 investigation and the investigation into the so-called DNC pipe bomber.
According to NBC’s Ken Dilanian, the purge is much larger than originally reported and includes more than 20 heads of FBI Field Offices.
NBC News reported:
David Sundberg, the assistant director in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office, was notified Thursday that he was going to lose his job and is preparing to leave the bureau, according to two senior law enforcement sources — the latest step in an unprecedented purge of top executives at FBI headquarters as well as leadership in FBI field offices across the country.
Commentary:
This is just the beginning of the restructuring of the FBI...
I hope that they escorted Sunberg from the building immediately.
Anything short of a total purge, top to bottom, will only cause the rot to restart.
Culture change is impossible without every last rat being drowned.
Firing is a beginning, but PROSECUTION the necessity.
Strangely, the still have not found the DNC & RNC bomber or closed the investigation in the failed attempt to assassinate Trump. Rumor has it that, the key people at the FBI know perfectly well who planted the pipe bombs at DNC & RNC. But at least one of those people was too important to even allow the FBI to talk to them.
But they did try to falsely claim that DJT was not wounded. When we all saw the incident.
Unfortunately, the directors of the FBI since J.Edgar Hoover have attempted to maintain their leverage over politicians and the average American using the same tactics... blackmail.
This is coming to an end at least for the next 4 years.
Can't wait to hear the cries of anguish rising above the din when Kasj Patel begins the clean-uo.
