I'm a Cold war era vet, and when it ended, I had high hopes that Russia was honest about wanting to join with peaceful nations. After all, they did adopt western capitalism. But apparently only just enough to rescue their economy from collapse in the late '80's and 90's.

I was wrong. The stupidity that drives putin must be dismantled and made to bow to God if anyone wants to live in peace.

I'm an atheist, but significant part of Russians are Orthodox Chiristians. And Russian Orthodox Christianity, in practic means, is about saving Russians and elimination of the West.
