Ohio police: Officer shoots, kills 13-year-old who drew BB gun
Police in Ohio shot and killed a 13-year-old boy while responding to a report of an armed robbery Wednesday night.
Columbus police said the boy pulled a gun from his waistband that was later found to be a BB gun.
The police force said officers were called to a report of an armed robbery in east Columbus at about 7.45 p.m. and the male victim told them that a group of people approached him and demanded money and one of them had a gun.
Officers saw three males matching the descriptions of the suspects and tried to speak with them, but two of them fled on foot, the force said.
"Officers followed the males to the alley ... and attempted to take them into custody when one suspect pulled a gun from his waistband. One officer shot and struck the suspect multiple times," police said in a statement carried by the Associated Press early Thursday.
The boy was taken to the Nationwide Children's Hospital in a critical condition and was later pronounced dead, the force said.
He was identified as 13-year-old Tyree King, the AP reported. Police said the gun was later determined to be a BB gun with an attached laser sight.

One more future criminal who won't get the chance to pull a real gun on someone

C'est la vie

What is with these kids that draw...

... a look alike BB gun on cops...

... haven't their parents taught `em any better???

How fuckin' sad.

Wait just one minute! I thought all Black parents had The Talk with their sons, telling them that, because they are "Black," they must be completely compliant and subservient when dealing with the po-lice. Didn't this kid get The Talk? What were his parents thinking of?

Pull what any reasonable person would assume is a gun from your waistband and point it at a LEO your chances of 'getting dead' are 100%.
The "child" was 6'3" and weighed 180 lbs.

It's as sad that he was committing armed robbery at 13--even if it was a "I-don't-really-mean-it" pea shooter--as the fact that he got killed. Think what a basketball star he could have been if the gangs hadn't gotten him.

At night, cops respond to armed robbery report, the kid flees and then pulls a BB gun with a laser scope on the cops. Open and shut case.

However, black race hustlers will forget the facts and will protest. The black placating commissioner will bow to the people and fire the officers, while Chicago is set to break it's homicide record.

Have't their parent. Not parents. You know this kid loves in a single mom home with 12 brothers and sisters of all different dads. If of he knows who his dad is, my guess is he hadn't seen him in years.

Parenting

This could have been prevented by a parent simply by sitting down for 5 minutes with their child, telling them:
1) Respect the Police
2) Don't run from them
3) Comply with what they say
4) Don't pull a gun, not even a toy

Im not sad over this. If he was already robbing people at 13, imagine what he would do as an adult. His death is a good thing. That neighborhood now has one less violent criminal in it.
