Fascism, as I understand it, does not take over direct control of corporations, they simply give them targets and policies to use, and if the corporation refuses or fails the government gives them a hard application of the regulations.

This is one of the primary reasons that leftists refuse to buy that fascism is leftwing, since it does not invoke the direct ownership of the means of production but merely manipulates it..
